Title of the Plenary lecture: More than a fur ball. The dazing tegumentary preservation in Spinolestes, a triconodont mammal from the Lower Cretaceous (~126My) of the Las Hoyas fossil site in Spain
I studied Biological Sciences, obtained a PhD in Paleontology, and I am currently an associate Professor of Biology at the Faculty of Sciences and member of the Centre for the Integration of Paleobiology, at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. Much of my research is devoted to Macroevolution, with particular interests in understanding major transitions in the history of vertebrates, such as the evolution of birds. My interests, however, are definitely multidisciplinary, and I have been involved in multiple areas of research in collaboration with colleagues worldwide. For nearly two decades I have been an active researcher of the team that studies the Las Hoyas fossil site.
